Hema has had a flair for fashion for as long as she can remember. As a young woman, she managed a fashion boutique before becoming a business development manager in the cleaning industry. With the experience she gained, Hema founded Cleanspec, of which she became a successful master franchisor. At Covertogs, she combines her mind for business with her passion for fashion.
Covertogs stood out to Hema because she noticed a gap in the market for modest clothing and togs that were still stylish and chic.
As the owner, Hema is looking forward to expanding the line to include a range of new swimwear, sarongs, beach hats, bags, and towels. She’s excited to release the designs in time for next summer.
New ownership aside, Covertogs will retain everything that made them so great. They are chlorine-resistant, fast-drying, sun-safe little gems; with a UPF rating of 50+, they provide peace of mind and phenomenal sun protection. The high Lycra content in the fabric makes them very flattering, as they easily stretch over busts, bottoms, and other bits. What’s more, Covertogs will still be designed and manufactured in New Zealand and continue to support local.
